Alfred Hitchcock Presents Alfred Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors ever. The way his stories were weaved in a day-to-day life of the people - read a person bed-ridden and just watching out of window to see what going on in his neighborhood in critically acclaimed "Rear Window" or a dedicated son to his mother in "Psycho". Alfred Hitchcock Presents is an American Television anthology series. Each episode was around 25-26 mins long (Seasons 1-7) and 49-50 mins (Seasons 8-10). I watched the entire series on Netflix in USA. IMDb rates the series as 8.6. It begins with a silhouette of the master director and an eerie music playing in the background. It is well-known for its opening sequence. Such was the impact of the series that the episodes were recreated in the 1980's. My Rating - 9 and a thumbs up :)

I am self-confessed GOTian (If that's even a word) - Big fan of Game of Thrones. However, let me begin with a British Series called River. So here it goes - This is a 6-part British television Drama Series (IMDb rated - 8.1)starring Stellan Skarsgård . River is a detective, Metropolitan Police Service. This is the story of his struggle with the loss of his colleague with whom he shares great camaraderie and is in love. However, they cannot meet and share their love. The love story runs only in the backdrop. River keep on solving the cases but only came to terms with himself and his grief in season's finale. The highest point of the series was the song " I love to love.." by Tina Charles (1976) in the background and the 2 lovers dancing as
