Rise of the Heros and fall of the Mighty

That was A MONDAY EVENING.............
I have always hated MONDAY as that is the first day of the week and that also coaxed me to start up a commuity on orkut called I HATE MONDAY MORNING...(And surprisingly it already has 500+ members ... reiterating the fact that s many ppl believein this maxim)....But this was no ordinary day.. it was MONDAY the 24th ...
The first final of T20
The first WC final between India and Pak.... and
The firstWC final where the average age of the Indian players was less than 24 years...

India has the reputation of defeating pakis in all the WC matches and the way they thrashed the 2 greatest teams -SA and Mighty Australia..It was amazing so a lil of hope was somewhere in my heart...

We Indians are Myrimidons of Cricket and I was no different ... I folowed cricket .. although never knew the naunces and the technicalities but still loved the game ...
Although I stopped watching the match when India lost so badly in 2003 finals against Australia and then my idea was that "CRICKET IS SUCH A WASTE OF TIME" huh... although deep down in the heart I was behaving as a masochist and that I knew..

And the best thing is that I always presumed that whenever India won it was due to me the way I watched the match , the position i was into and the color of the dress that I wore .....So the credit of India winning was becuase of ME ..hahahaha ... and yaa when it loses its again due to my carelessness ...

But 24th was different.. The match was to begin at 5 o clock and was in office and the second innings I watched at home in the same blue dress that I had been wearing ,.... and see finally INDIA WON..... And wat a grt game of cricket .... FAITH RESTORED...

Alfred Hitchcock Presents  Alfred Hitchcock is one of my favorite directors ever. The way his stories were weaved in a day-to-day life of the people - read a person bed-ridden and just watching out of window to see what going on in his neighborhood in critically acclaimed "Rear Window" or a dedicated son to his mother in "Psycho". Alfred Hitchcock Presents is an American Television anthology series. Each episode was around 25-26 mins long (Seasons 1-7) and 49-50 mins (Seasons 8-10). I watched the entire series on Netflix in USA. IMDb rates the series as 8.6. It begins with a silhouette of the master director and an eerie music playing in the background. It is well-known for its opening sequence. Such was the impact of the series that the episodes were recreated in the 1980's. My Rating - 9 and a thumbs up :)
