September the 13th...

When it comes to ADJUSTING, we INDIANS are the masters...We adjust everywhere.... less space-adjusted, high inflation- adjusted , electricity crisis-adjusted .. We manage to adjust even to the vagaries of nature: flood(read: Bihar), earthquakes, and famines... We have adjusted even to the delayed justice ,politicians and corrupt beurocrats ... However, now with multiple bomb-blasts in Delhi ..LIMITS are tested.. Suddenly lots would be written about in the Media and Channels will have corrospondents reporting everything: color of the shoe, emotions of the victims etc, but the basic question shall never be answered: Will this ever end? India has been the guinea-pig of the terrorists. They perform the live experiments on us and if successful repeat their modus operandi in the other developed nations: US , UK and the likes.. It took US a 9/11 to understand the dark side of terrorism, and just another4-5 years to destroy 2 countries and eyeing on the third. However, its most important ally

Aamir and me

What Aamir wrote in his blog... India wins a Gold after 25 years and the first in an individual event. I was absolutely thrilled to see Bindra receiving the Gold, and I had goose bumps when India’s National Anthem began playing. What a moment! My congratulations to Bindra for his achievement. He has done India proud and given us all a moment to celebrate. I would recommend to everyone to do a google search on Indian Hockey at the Olympics. You will be amazed to read the reports of India’s achievements in the game. Absolutely fascinating. We were leagues ahead for decades, don’t know what happened after that. At this time I cannot help but remember the reaction of certain people across the country when India had lost a cricket match/tournament and people began attacking the homes of various players. How easily we forget that our sportspersons are trying their best. They too want to win. They are the ones who have worked day and night and are certainly more upset than we the supporters

Deportation is a process and not a punishment

Bangladesh has emerged as a threat to India thanks to the very porous border it has with our motherland. We are SAARC countries aka third world countries, with problems concerning population explosion and underutilization of resources. With Bangladesh, the problems of India has increased several fold. We Have been treated as a DUST BIN. The news article below tries to end this all up. Cheers to the judiciary. PS: Getting a US nationality takes so many years and getting an Indian one just few steps into the country huh!!! Excerpts from a news article: Expressing concern over the increasing number of illegal immigrants in the national capital, the Delhi High Court on Tuesday said they pose a danger to India's internal security, and dismissed a petition by a Bangladeshi national against her deportation. Justice S L Bhayana dismissed Razia Begum's petition and upheld the Foreigners Regional Registration Office's (FRRO) decision to deport her and four of her family members back

Mission istanbul: Love story 2050

Mission Istanbul was a nice movie, but could have been better. I really question the choice of actor in lead role: Zayed Khan. I think the same role could have been far better, had there been a better actor. The movie points out the relation between terrorism and a TV channel in Istanbul. The plot was excellent, but execution BAKWAAS.. to add it all; there was an advertisement of Mountain Dew right in the middle of the movie enacted by the characters of the movie. Now! can ypu believe this ... but you have to . To add to all this rubbish was a BUSH -Alike talking nonsense for almost 10 mins. Not to mention Abhishek Bachan, I think he should stick to his Unforgeable tour as his dancing in the movie was forgettable ;) Rating for the art: 1.5/5 Love story 2050! This is a brave effort by the director. However wish this hadnt been. Right from 2008-2050 the story had nothing to offer. What could have changed was the treatment. Sadly, the treatment was also so bad that it was not gullable at

Dor: Must watch

Of late I am getting chance to watch some movies that I have not been able to watch. One of them was DOR. A movie I quite often heard of from "n "no. of ppl but hardly got the chance to watch. Post watching the movie, I never thought that a script and the characters can pose so much of effect on an individual. The movie questions infinite traditions and have left them unanwered. The story is abut two women - Pure and chaste. However fate brings them together and Nagesh Kukoonoor has then added his flavor. The reactions of the characters have been amazing, and Ayesha was amazing in a soft and suttle look. She is a widow. In Rajesthan, a widow is a home of broken and shattered dreams. She not only loses her husband but also her licence to live and be oneself. This aspect is really highlighted well in the movie. There is a burden of tradition that can be easily broken by her father-in -law for the need of money. The movie questions a miserable condition of the life of a widow. I

Taare zameen parr- Brave effort

The name of the movie says it all... taare zameen parr.. I think this movie opens our eyes to ourselves. When we were kids we would also see the beauty i rain drops and would talk to the pets -be it a dog or a gold fish. We would never bring in the logic in each and every situation. The best part of the movie is how well the audience accepts and relates to the situation. Dyslexia as a disease is handled and dealt with really nicely. This piece of art is really praiseworthy, but for me and for the other segment of population -middle class population the solution seems to be far fetched... If the child is not a performer, obviously as per Darwin's theory shall perish, hence there is no option for him/her , but to be a performer. There needs to be a balance : A painter, but a good mathematician; a singer but a good historian as well... Because in this run to succeed in the maddening crowd no-one but the best survives and for each parent, their child needs to be the best- Thus , more t

Marriage: Paradigm shift

Not long ago, I use to follow the maxim' Marriages are made in heaven so do thunder and lightening' . It is a strange relationship wherein 2 ppl who may be ice and fire get together. Marriage is a life long commitment that needs to be taken seriously. It also stabilizes the person and bring in responsibilities. It teaches us the joy of sharing- sharing both the joys and sorrows; ups and downs. It also motivates person to do good so that the repercussion of the same does not fall on the loved ones.I know these feeling are always in our heart but comes out only post marriage.. I believe that it is the best thing that happens to anyone and is thus recommended. We do not know how powerful we are, since we have the power to make people who love us, happy.....

GEMINI WOMAN/LEO MAN

GEMINI WOMAN A good looking woman with brains, a very interesting person. She has a fast movement and she could not sit still or stand still long. She is able to do many things at the same time and do it fast. If you date her, you will feel like dating many women at the same time. You can not tie her down withthe word "Love" because she cares about love but is it not a major factor of her life. You have to be able to adjust yourself to get aong with her many different characters. She is a dreamer and has many dreams. She eager to learn something new all the time. Even she is the 2 in 1 mixed character type, she is quite lucky in love. You have to put all your efforts to win her affection. Even when she likes you and wonder about your wit, she will also see and inspect your bad side at the same time, because it is in her nature. She able to keep all kinds of mixed emotions without annoying you or letting you know at all. She can cheer you up by acting like a free little bir

KING COBRA: My salutations to You....More than fear there is a lot of respect

King Cobra: It seems unfairly menacing that a snake that can literally "stand up" and look a full-grown person in the eye would also be among the most venomous on the planet, but that describes the famous king cobra.King cobras can reach 18 feet (5.5 meters) in length, making them the longest of all venomous snakes. When confronted, they can raise up to one-third of their bodies straight off the ground and still move forward to attack. They will also flare out their iconic hoods and emit a bone-chilling hiss that sounds almost like a growling dog.Their venom is not the most potent among venomous snakes, but the amount of neurotoxin they can deliver in a single bite—up to two-tenths of a fluid ounce (seven milliliters)— is enough to kill 20 people, or even an elephant. Fortunately, king cobras are shy and will avoid humans whenever possible, but they are fiercely aggressive when cornered.King cobras live mainly in the rain forests and plains of India, southern China, and South

Halla Bol... A cult movie

HALLA BOL.... this is one movie that has really come after a long long time wherein the idea of staying MUMB is severely beaten... Rating for me would be a 4 on 5... the sheer miss of 1 unit is probably cos it not another RDB ... Halla Bol is a tight script with the relevance of each character and sub-plot... I have been an ardent follower of this director, Rajkumar Santoshi, cos of the sheer courage of making movies relevant to society: Ghayal, Ghatak, Damini, Andaaz apna apna(A cult movie), Lajja( women oriented subject: Madhuri and rekha fending the best performers )... And now Halla Bol... Way to go Man... I hope that this mviedoes well for the sheer sake of removing mediocrity from Bollywood.. All credit to Pankaj Kapur and Ajay Devgan. Cheers

Racial Abuse.. Reality or a Propaganda

It came to me as a shock that later materialised as Joke.. Racial comments by an Indian (Bhajji) to an Australian(Andrew Symonds) on the cricket ground.. Now there are few loopholes in the story: 1) An Indian commenting (allegedly calling Andrew a Monkey)... We Indians hardly argue on field .. Remember we are Shantipriya ppl.....(or else how wud u explain Bristishers ruling us >200 years) and also wen we ourselves suffer from a menace called Caste system 2) Abusive language and physical abuse are all related with high-adrenaline games such as Football and Basket ball and rarely with Cricket synonymous to Gentlemen game....However , Caucaseans and Pakistanis are exceptions 3) Also Abusive language : Hmm instintively we use mother tongue when we abuse ppl .. so that means either Punjabi or Hindi .. Y wil he use MONKEY at the first place that may screw him biig time 4) Is Monkey a race ???

Racial Comments .. Is that a Reality

Racial comments by an Indian on the cricket ground and that too against an Australian(allegedly Bhajji commented on Andrew Symonds as a Monkey).. Huh . now thats a news ... I mean instinctively a person will speak out on his/her mother- tongue which in this case will be either Punjabi or Hindi .. Y will he speak in English was the first question that tinkered me .. Moreover, We Indians generally are peace-lovn ppl...Know the term "Shantipriya" else how wud we explain being under Britishers for >200 years... Lastly, is Monkey a Race ....

Excellent Qoutes
